Born in Douala, Cameroon, in 1983, under the name YOSSA TCHIENGUE LANDRY, I took my first steps in the audiovisual field in 2008 after training in filming and directing. In 2010, I joined the team at MARABOO PROD, a local production company. Where I work as a cameraman and director of the entertainment show "K'tapult", developing my passion for feature stories. And since 2015 I've been a cameraman-director for a private TV channel in the city of Douala. In 2017, through a writing residency organized by Cordia Prod, I perfected my training in writing and directing Documentary Films, and my first school film "la vie en miel" saw the light of day in August of the same year. My first film as an independent documentary filmmaker and producer, CESARIENNE ? produced and directed by myself, was released in cinemas on March 1, 2024, and several other exciting projects are currently in the pipeline.

Summary

Considered by some to be a kind of business in our public and private hospitals, the resurgence of Caesarean sections these days is a matter of concern for both practitioners and populations in sub-Saharan Africa, and particularly in Cameroon. Even if in some cases it saves the life of mother and child, it has to be said that sometimes things don't always go as smoothly as we'd like.
After a scheduled caesarean section in April 2017, resulting in the loss of her baby due to Pre-Eclampsia. Mrs YOSSA will face another CESARIAN 02 years later. Today, pregnant with her 3rd child, another C-section is scheduled in accordance with WHO recommendations, which state that after two C-sections, it is risky for the mother to proceed with a vaginal delivery.
"CESARIENNE? is a 90-minute documentary film that examines the resurgence of Caesarean sections in our country. It will also highlight the quality of service that the hospital system offers to future parents, and the difficulties that many women face in giving birth.
All this will be explained by a number of specialists in maternal and child well-being, involved in pre- and post-partum care. Two gynecologists, an anesthetist, a baby planner, a midwife, a psychologist, a pastor and a traditionalist will share their respective points of view on the mystery behind every birth, and C-sections in particular.
