Omar Brams MBAYE

Mr. Omar Brams MBAYE took his first steps at the Théâtre Populaire, which gave him a taste for scriptwriting. In 2011, he founded Wincom, a communications agency specializing in the production of audiovisual and cinematographic content, which has enabled him to direct several productions and series of short films. His first production, "La Tuberculeuse", included 15 episodes; his second production tackled social facts. Through his films, Mr. Mbaye strives to combine entertainment and educational functions. He made 50 short films in 2011 and 60 in 2013. He recently released two productions: the first on environmental degradation caused by plastic waste, and another project entitled "Émergence".Mr. MBAYE is a committed filmmaker in every respect, and all his productions are self-funded. Most of the themes developed in his films aim to raise awareness of violence against women, children's rights, immigration, female circumcision and many other subjects. The unfinished documentaries on Mariama, the only woman to survive the sinking of the boat Le Joola, and on Demba BA, the shortest man in Senegal at 63 cm (whose wife is 1m80 tall), are further proof of his commitment.

Destin d'un Migrant

Synopsis

Destin d'un Migrant" is a feature-length documentary about migration and the living conditions and journeys of legal and illegal African migrants, as well as political asylum seekers. To better understand the problem and find solutions, this documentary gives the floor to major international institutions through a series of interviews (European Union, United Nations High Commission for Refugees, Association France terre d'asile, IOM and governmental institutions involved in this sector), as well as to African returnees and undocumented migrants living on European soil.
